PRESS RELEASE TARAWATCH.org 18 May 2007 'Hill of Tara / M3 Motorway Conference - Trinity College Dublin - Mon 21st May - 11.00 am to 2.00 pm' A conference will be held this Monday at Trinity College Dublin, regarding the Hill of Tara and the M3 motorway on Monday 21st May 2007. The conference is entitled, 'The Hill of Tara: The Historical and Cultural Significance', and is being hosted by the Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Studies, TCD. Lectures, round-table discussion and debate will begin at 11.00 am in the Swift Theatre and run until approximately 2.00 pm. Admission is free to the public. Speakers to include: - Dr Sean Duffy - FTCD, Department of Medieval History - Dr Gerald Morgan - FTCD, Department of Law - Mr Vincent Salafia, JD - Department of Law, TCD (LL.M candidate) Political candidates in the upcoming election are being invited to participate. Vincent Salafia of TaraWatch said: "The purpose of this conference is to show the historical and cultural importance of Tara, in the context of the M3 development. "We will respond in detail, line by line, to the false claims made by Fred Barry of the National Roads Authority, in the Irish Times on 17 May 2007. "We will also present the reasonable alternatives and necessary that are available to Minister Roche, as he makes his decision on whether or not to reroute the M3.
