06/08/2003: Blo.Tooth change their name and move on and up...:Myles

more news... back to home page...

Blo.Tooth, who will be familiar to regular Gigsmarters and to visitors of IrishUnsigned, have announce some major news this weekend.

In their own words:
"First and foremost. The Album is finished. It's final. 14 tracks, all new, that we are pleased to say we are very very happy with. Recording the album with producer Herbie Macken was a real delight but suffice to say, organising the release of the actual product has been a mountainous endeavour of epic proportions that has us all completely exhausted.

Other good news is the band have signed a major publishing deal with Sony UK. Sony have agreed to fund the release of the record, which has made finally putting it on shelves a reality that we all look forward to.

The album will be called 'Starlight Drive' and will be in all music shops nationwide from Friday the 17th of October with the launch taking place that night in The Sugar Club, Dublin.

On Saturday the 18th at 2.00 we'll be doing a live gig in Tower Records, Dublin.
The album will offcourse be sold in tower that day at a concession fee.

"Name Change?" blo.tooth have changed their band name to Juno Falls. Juno' is latin for 'heavenly being'. It was a unanimous thumbs up for a name that Myles, Dara and Shaky all felt embodied the type of atmosphere on the forthcoming album and a creative road travelled that spells a new and permanent musical direction for the band.

Radio pre-view out now!!. We have a big favour to ask of everyone out there who supports us and would like to see us do well. Please oh please text or e-mail your local or favourite radio station
with a request for Juno Falls. All the radio stations throughout the country now have a preview copy of the album with four tracks we feel represent the album. "
