more news... back to home page...

Founded by Adele Ingram-Magee in 2005 Chicks with Picks is an accumulation of female singer/songwriters and guitarists from all over Ireland.

This is a great opportunity for talented ladies who wish to showcase their songs to an attentive and appreciative audience.

For the past few years Adele has been combing the musical landscape to find accomplished female guitar players to eventually bring a guest slot to "Chicks with Picks". This is scheduled to happen early 2007.

CHICKS WITH PICKS AGREE AFFILIATION WITH AN AMERICAN GUITAR MANUFACTURER

CHICKS WITH PICKS has agreed a deal with American guitar manufacturer, Luna Guitars, a creative organisation dedicated to affirming and empowering females of all ages by encouraging their growth and expression through music.

The deal will see competition prizes and support for the Chicks with Picks Gigs provided by Luna guitars, both parties are looking forward to a long term relationship in promoting female musicians and Luna guitars in Ireland.

Chicks with Picks Founder Adele Ingram-Magee said:

I'm to have established this relationship with Luna and believe it will help Chicks with Picks and the artists to reach a larger audience throughout Ireland and a more prominent presence here for Luna guitars.

COMPETITION TO WIN A LUNA GUITAR!

The next event is a competition, which is open to female pickers from anywhere in Ireland and will be held in Ballydugan Mill, Downpatrick, on Friday 18th August 2006.
