Rat Scabies is a rock legend. He is the former drummer with punk pioneers The Damned and has also worked with the likes of Jimmy Page, Joe Strummer and Donovan and has spent the past few weeks in a secret location in Carlow producing the new album for 79Cortinaz. Rat's infamous drum burning antics has concerned Cortinaz drummer Mike Hayden who says "Please Rat dont burn my kit." Between locations in Carlow and Dublin, recording started recently and the as yet unnamed debut features a minimum of 12 songs and should be ready for release by late Autumn, when it will be accompanied by a nationwide tour and single release.
