Some Artists and/or their fans might notice they have been removed from the IU site database. Unfortunately, they just did not bother inputting the necessary details. Naturally, when it looks like there may have been a misunderstanding on the part of the person entering the details, we email them and ask that they provide us with details of the missing material, and then spend our own time making the alterations. This is the case with some of the Artists still on the site, but who have not completely filled the relevant fields. In some cases, they just don't have the material. That's perfectly acceptable However, some Acts are just not worth the effort. Artists who don't bother to help themselves certainly don't deserve any help from anyone else, let alone diverting the time that could be spent assisting others. After all, laziness is laziness, no matter what way you look at it. Although the benefit of the doubt is normally applied, in some cases there is no grounds for it. So, if you're in one of the bands that was deleted (about ten of them were), then look to the people who were asked to provide full details, and who didn't, and who then ignored requests to do so. ============================== In a few weeks, IrishUnsigned will be launching the third version of the site. We are trying to find a way to just automatically delete the entries that are a waste of our space and your time. Every Artist on the site will have to re-enter their details and those who can't be bothered will not be included in the site, the database or any projects we get involved in. They might not care about being excluded but their attitudes will certainly mean they get left behind. Here's hoping that other bands, when IU version 3 is launched, are a bit more of the self-help mindset.
