Heard a rumour over the last few days that a Polydor bigwig was seen in Dundalk in the last day or two. Not hat there's anything wrong with that, but considering the fact that Polydor was at The Spirit Store and The Flaws were headlining the gig, does this bode well for an Irish act being signed? In truth, I hear that they already signed in a smoke-filled back-room (I mean, after the gig, not the Polydor offices!) and big things are planned. I heard the Flaws demo recently and although it was described to me (by an 'expert', no less) as very basic, you can certainly hear what Polydor might be interested in. Nice, simple tunes and not-too-over-the-top post-production. Probably none, in fact! Good luck to The Flaws (and remember where you heard it first...)
