As part of of a project we are working on, we are looking for the following information. If you can provide accurate and checkable answers to these questions, please email info@irishunsigned.com with as much detail as possible: 1. We are looking for contact details (phone, mobile and/or email address) for as many independent music (whether new or old) retailers around the Country. Also, if you know or can find out, we would like to know if the retailer is part of any chain or co-op etc. Finally, we would like to know, in your own opinion, if the retailer would be considered 'sympathetic' to new music, meaninn, do they have a reputation for selling material from new bands etc. 2. We are looking for information relating to venues around the Country. We would like to know the name and address of the Venue, telephone and email address, name of the person (if any) responsible for taking and arranging bookings, whether or not the Venue is known for featuring new and grass-roots bands regularly, the capacity of the Venue and whether or not it is filled regularly on a Monday and on a Saturday (to gauge popularity etc). We also would like to know, if you can find out, the rates for the Venue, how much it costs to hire outright and what extras are hidden (ie security staff, ticketting staff, how much the Venue pays (if ever/anything) to bands who travel to play there. Any other information you think is useful or relevant in either case would be much appreciated.
