"What's the story with the 2nd IU CD. A lot of bands have, in good faith, given CD's to IU - who now seem to have disappeared underground. An update would be appreciated." Okay, update it is: A 'lot of bands' didn't give anything to IU. We received a total of 26 entries or submissions, some of which were not anywhere near good enough (recording) quality. We decided, for this reason amongst others, to shelve plans for IUCD2 for the moment Second, and this is not an excuse cos we don't believe we need one, IU had to take a back seat (as I said in a previous news item: here) because I had to (a)Finish my final year of my Degree, (b)move house and (c) work on my future career plans, so IU was not a priority. Finally, since moving house, we have had no telephone and no internet access. We've also had no TV other than RTE etc. Not a sympathy thing, just making the point: the telephones are still not connected (nor the cable TV) and since IU relies heavily on Internet access, it hasn't been possible to do much with it. We're still in contact with bands, halping where we can, who call me on the mobile (0879748263), so if we can help, give us a call. By the way, the possibilities for IUCD2 are limited only by the bands who submit material. Many hundreds of bands did not and this is why there has been nothing happening.
