BUDRISING SPRING FESTIVAL UNVEILS STELLAR SUPPORT LINE-UP FEATURING THE HOTTEST EMERGING IRISH TALENT

BudRising has now confirmed the list of home-grown Irish acts who will take to the stage as part of the BudRising Spring Festival, taking place across seven Dublin venues from 9–13th April. Once again delivering the hottest names on every Irish music-lover’s lips, BudRising has stayed true to its roots by supporting emerging Irish talent alongside more mainstream headliners Hard-Fi and The Streets throughout the five-day festival.
Leading the charge are Choice Music Prize winners Super Extra Bonus Party who will headline at Whelan’s on Saturday, April 12th. Following the release of their eponymous debut album, the Kildare collective were selected from a shortlist including Cathy Davey, Roisin Murphy and Delorentos to win the prestigious award earlier this year.
Co-headlining with Future of the Left at the Village on Sunday, April 13th will be two-time Meteor nominee Fight Like Apes. Shortlisted for Best Irish Band and Best Irish Live Performance for an electrifying gig at Whelan’s in 2007, the band will deliver an electro punk-rock set including tracks from their recently-released second EP.

Following the release of their critically acclaimed debut EP Not Not is Fine, Dublin band Cap Pas Cap will support The Ting Tings on Saturday, April 12th, while Dublin-based rock’n’roll outfit Boom Jackson will warm up for The Raveonettes at The Village on Thursday, April 10th.

Fresh from the South by Southwest Festival in Texas where they performed as part of the Irish Music Showcase, Dublin five-piece Channel One will support Hard-Fi at the Olympia on Wednesday, April 9th.

At the BudRising Street Party on Saturday, April 12th, Dublin's favourite all round party-friendly hip-hop turntablist, Morgan will support The Streets and Mixmaster Mike. Log on to www.budweiser.ie to register – there are only 1000 free tickets up for grabs!

The support line-up across the five-night festival will also include performances from Irish acts including Arveene, TwinKranes, Butterfly Explosion, Billy Scurry, The WhiteLiars, Trev Radiator, Neon Love DJs, Anthony Remedy and Le Galaxie.

Since its inception in 2005, BudRising has committed to bringing the best international and domestic talent to venues large and small, nationwide. The support of emerging Irish bands and home-grown talent is key to BudRising music programming. That’s why we’re proud to offer music fans access to a prestigious talent line-up that includes 18 of the next generation of Irish stadium fillers, alongside established international names.

Tickets are available from Ticketmaster and usual outlets.
