Budweiser have got the builders in to present a stellar line-up and a venue unlike anything ever seen before in Dublin city centre. After weeks of speculation, Budweiser can now reveal that the BudRising Street Party will take place on Saturday, April 12th on a specially-created outdoor site at George’s Dock on Custom House Quay. The event is just one of many BudRising music events to rock the capital from 9-13th April as part of a five-day Spring Festival.

To construct the stage, BudRising is draining the docks with the help of a specialist team of frogmen and extending the jetty to house an exclusively customised structure. A specialist team will work around the clock in the run up to the event. Not only will the hub offer the biggest stage ever to be seen in the docks but it will also include a Budweiser Carnival Area where gig goers can test their rock and roll credentials, a Body Tonic Toe Jam curated market and a unique additional BudRising stage – further details coming soon!

There are only 1000 free tickets up for grabs to this one-off event. Tickets will be allocated on a lottery basis. If you want to be there, log on now to www.budweiser.ie and register your details. Ticket winners will be alerted by email, and must collect their tickets in person at special BudRising ticket booths located on George’s Dock in the week prior to the event. The venue opens at 6.30pm on Saturday, April 12th.

In the midst of all the builders’ dust, it’s important not to lose sight of the line-up. The BudRising Street Party will mark the first Irish performance for The Streets since 2004. Following the massive commercial success of their three studio albums – Original Pirate Material, A Grand Don’t Come for Free and The Hardest Way to Make an Easy Living, fans can look forward to a showcase of their greatest hits in advance of the launch of their fourth album in late 2008.

With a support line-up featuring Mixmaster Mike, resident DJ for the Beastie Boys, and US house DJ Morgan, as well as live graffiti from street artist Maser, the BudRising Street Party promises to deliver a night you’ll tell your friends about, where music fans across the country can enjoy the best in live music from the hottest bands whilst kicking back with a cold refreshing Bud.

As well as the BudRising Street Party, the festival will include performances from over thirty homegrown and international acts at Dublin’s favourite music venues, including The Button Factory, The Village, Whelan’s and the Olympia. Headliners will include Hard-Fi, The Ting Tings, Hadoukin, The Raveonettes, Maps, Simian Mobile Disco DJ Set, Future of the Left and Red Snapper.
