JohnPlayerBluesQuartet were formed in a bedroom in Dublin's Northside during tne Special Olympics summer of 2003. Despite the name they are not a blues band nor are there four members. The music is comprised of an odd mix of eccentric electronica and guitar/harmonica/bass/vocals bits thrown in here and there. They have often been compared to JohnPlayerBluesQuartet, to which they have responded, 'Those allegations are unfounded and incorrect.'
