sorrow

\Sor"row\, v. i. [imp. & p. p. Sorrowed; p. pr. & vb. n. Sorrowing.] [OE. sorowen, sorwen, sorhen, AS. sorgian; akin to Goth. sa['u]rgan. See Sorrow, n.] To feel pain of mind in consequence of evil experienced, feared, or done; to grieve; to be sad; to be sorry.

Brought to Ireland in october 2003, Serene's first demonstration CD entitled 'a fine day to sorrow' demonstrates a long, slow, deep and heavy doom metal musicality to the scene.

Serene's formation is currently based in Dublin, Ireland, headed by former En Vargs Syn's Rove Monteux.

In this first release, Serene introduces musical pieces of 2 BPMs (Beats per Minute) composed by heavy distorted electric guitars, sublow sustained bass lines and deep soprano vocals, bringing Serene as probably one of the slowest, deepest and heaviest bands of today.
