STORY Singleton is a Dublin-based songwriter/producer who has worked with various Irish acts and played in a number of Dublin bands. Now concentrating on a solo career, he has spent the past year recording his own tracks in studios in London and Dublin. SOUND Singleton’s music incorporates a wide range of influences: much of it is reminiscent of 60s and 70s acts such as the Beatles and Bowie, but Singleton aims to put a new spin on this kind of music by using contemporary music technology and production techniques to create a sound where catchy tunes meet interesting grooves, lo-fi loops, samples and electronica. Singleton has a background in music production, and set up his own recording studio in 2000.
