Fringe makes ambient electronica with experimental elements of found sounds and melodic sine programming. She has been making music for 3 years and is affiliated with the electronica collective, the alphabet set (www.alphabetset.net).She has played to audiences both in Dublin and in festivals around the country. Her music has influences of early electronica, such as the BBC Radiophonic Orchestra and Kraftwerk, with some elements of early nineties electronica such as Orbital and Underworld mixed in. She is currently working on an e.p. release which will be free to download from July at the alphabet set site. Her work has been descibed as having elements of Steve Reich and Thom York. |
