In the past year Revere have taken off and have been recognised as the new up amd coming Cork band. Past gigs such as playing with Aslan in Cork venue FX and with Picture House in the Half moon have really created a new buz for the band that has achieved a hugh following of loyal fans. Entering into the new year of 2004, Revere have received the title of "Best cork band of 2003" from major Irish radio station 96FM. The award is a result of Revere being the most liked Cork Band by the listeners to the Green Room Show hosted by Michael Carr. Following this award the band received the title of "Best cork unsigned Band" by another major Irish radio station Red FM. Colm O'Sullivan's well established show on Red Fm, Green on Red announced Revere as the winners of the listeners Pole on the 11th of January. Along with this the bands first release 'Untruth' has become one of the most requested songs on Red Fm and has reached number 1 and number 2 over Christmas in the Green on Red charts on the Colm O'Sullivan Show.

Expectations for the band are growing stratospheric. An intense buzz of excitement among the band's still-growing following, greets the pre-release appearance of most of the album's tracks on the website in mp3 form; they displayed an all-out fascination with challenging, often minimalistic melodies. Revere is one of the few alternative bands of the new Millinium to draw heavily from the grandiose arena-rock that characterized Radioheads early albums. It has taken Revere a while to formulate their signature sound; music that may be defined as a mixture of diverse musical tastes formulating a hybrid sound. Just check out www.reveremusic.net and listen then decide for yourself.

Revere have worked hard as a band and everything generated with the name Revere, is all their own work. The 'coming soon' album called Progress has been completely produced and mastered by the band themselves right down to the CD label (maybe not the ink). Inniscarra and the home of James O'Sullivan(drummer) boasts the home made recording studio that is responsible for the production of the popular radio played song 'Untruth'. The website www.reveremusic.net which boasts all the latest news from this new sensation from Cork has also 6 mp3s that can be downloaded at anytime. Revere will be playing a number of gigs in Cork City(such as the Old Oak with 10 Speed Racer) before launching their album in Late march of this year.
