Evolver are a three piece alternative rock band from west Clare. Their influences range from Jimi Hendrix to Bruce Springsteen to Blink 182. Their music is very innovative and passionate as well as catchy. They have been credited for their excentrik live acts as they play covers as well as their own songs. They have gathered a large fan base in west Clare from gigs they have played at the Armada Hotel and several pubs around Miltown Malbay. Below is a short biography of the band members. Experience: Three years guitar playing, can also play bass and drums, self-taught, in a band with three years. Influences: Blues/alternative rock/hard rock/grunge eg, Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, U2, The White Stripes, Oasis. Tommy Benn Age: 17 Instruments: Bass/lead vocals. Experience: Five years bass playing and singing, also plays guitar, in a band with three years and in a band for two years before that Influences: Blues/alternative rock/singer/songwriter eg, Bruce Springsteen, Jeff Buckley, Weezer, Foo Fighters. Justin Skerritt Age: 18 Instrument: Drums. Experience: In a band with three years and in a band for two years before that. Influences: Punk/emo/pop rock/hard rock eg, Blink 182, Jimmy Eat World, Sum 41, Metallica. |
