17.11.2007: Still Life live in your Living Room:

more news... back to home page...

The band are pleased to confirm a slot as part of the live in your living room series of gigs at Dublin's Sugar Club on Thursday November 22nd.

This excellent series of gigs which has been ongoing at the popular Leeson Street venue not only provides a great nights entertainment but is all subsequently available online in the privacy of yes... your living room.

Filmed by no less than four cameras on the night, the show will be available for viewing at

www.liveinyourlivingroom.com

The gig therefore offers the band some excellent exposure on the worldwide web. "We've got some other gigs recorded but nothing of the quality that we hope to get from this performance", said guitarist Ralph Murphy this week. "We're itching to get back up there rocking after what has not been the most active of periods for the band".

What the axeman is refering to of course if the unfortunate injury suffered by frontman Jack Walsh after a freak accident playing football in July. Walsh required surgery on a broken left wrist leaving the band on a unplanned and unpreventable hiatus. Nearly four months on, the guitarist is hopeful for full recovery over time; "It's healing fine and I've been able to play almost everything again although my wrist was stiff after Sunday's rehersal. Theres still work to be done but it's great to be playing again and im particularly looking forward to getting back gigging next week".

The showcase will feature at least five bands including the excellent Still Room who will be familiar to anyone who was at the last Still Life show in Eamon Dorans as well Paul's other band, Paranoid Visions. "It's certainly going to be a busy night for me", said the drummer when asked about performing two sets in the one night. "But it gives the Still Life crowd the chance to see Visions live and vice versa. I can see it becoming one hell of a session".

And we coundnt agree more. The show will start around 8 pm and cash will be taken at the door. We will of course keep you all updated once the footage is available online.
Hope to see you there.
