A TaraWatch benefit gig will be held this Saturday night, August 12th,
at Whelans, Wexford Street, Dublin. Doors open at 7.30 and tickets are
10 euros.

On the night, Rónán Ó Snodaigh of Kila will debut an original piece
'Sruth an Ath', which he composed specifically for the benefit album,
'Tara of the Kings', due out this Autumn.

The side project of Mick Pyro and Benjamin Loose of Republic of Loose,
Rats of the Shining Path will headline on the night. The remainder of
the line-up includes The Immediate and House of Cosy Cushions.

The 'Tara of the Kings' title is taken from the poem by Irish poet Paul
Muldoon, which appeared in The Irish Times on Saturday Sat Jun 24,
2006. Professor Muldoon, of Princeton University is also a musician and
is recording his poem for the album.

Artists such as Paddy Casey, Kila, Camille O'Sullivan, (the late Mic
Christopher Larry Beau and Peatbog Faeries will also appear on the
album. The cover will be designed by Jim Fitzpatrick. For more

Tarawatch is the organisation opposing the proposed motorway through
the archaeological complex of Tara. They are working in association
with IrishUnsigned.com, OuterSounds.ie downloads, and The MusicMall.com
to produce the album.
