Tarawatch, the organisation opposing the proposed motorway through the historic lands at Tara, County Meath are in the process of compiling an album due for release in late Autumn. At present the energies of Tarawatch are focused on the brand new format Tara Sessions - weekly live music nights held each Tuesday in the Dice Bar, Dublin 7. Artist Booker and Format Manager for the Tara Sessions, Christine Finlay said: 'With our top quality, internationally diverse acts and friendly, fun-loving atmosphere, the Tara Sessions is succeeding in its aim to raise awareness for the Campaign. So much so that a number of bands and artists who have contributed to the Sessions so far have penned original compositions some of which have already been played at the Sessions and many audience members have shown their support for the Campaign.' Selected upcoming acts from the Tara Sessions will also be included on the album 'Tara of the Kings' featuring both established Irish and International Artists such as Kila and The Waterboys – both of whom are contributing original compositions plus previously unreleased material respectively – together with up and coming home-grown acts too.
