Preparations are well underway for this year's Imagine festival. It will run from 27th October to 7th November. The festival has something for everyone - theatre, film, music, comedy, dance, literature and visual arts - a platform for local talent and a showcase for international artists. With one eye on the past and the other on the future, the festival has a vibrant mix of the traditional and contemporary. There are well-established acts as well as special commissions, Irish exclusives and European premieres. We already have a number or new and established acts for this year music schedule but are still sourcing new bands of any genre for the new music introduction to the festival closing date for applications is August 30 , Anyone interested in getting involved for the festival - as a volunteer, stage manager, act liason , sound engineer or any thing else you can possibly think of - contact edeldooley@yahoo.co.uk. It's a great way to meet new people and contribute to the arts
