Many thanks from those of us involved in IrishUnsigned to those of you who voted for Jade in the RTE Eurovision competition. Jade's manager, Rob Weldon, has asked us to express the band's thanks for helping them reach the final 2 from over 5,000 entries For those of you new to the IU 'philosophy', Jade are one of the 18 acts who featured on our first compilation CD "Scene Unheard" all of 2 years ago. Their song from the CD - "Beautiful Thing" - received rave reviews when played live on RTE TV and has led to the band achieving a widespread 'mini-fame' in recent weeks. Now, when we mention "Jade", people know who we're talking about! Thanks have to go to Edel Dooley in Waterford's BEATFM, as well as Gary Baitson from DeXtra (both of whom have become members of the IU 'team') who put a lot of effort and time into ensuring that 'Jade' were able to get the exposure that a real, live band who can play, sing (and ocasionally dance) are still in with a shout of representing Ireland in the Eurovision. Whether they actually WANT to win it is a different matter :-)
