GET READY TO PAINT THE TOWN RED!
BUDRISING SPRING FESTIVAL KICKS OFF TOMORROW

Festival season kicks off in style tomorrow as BudRising prepares to rock Dublin to its core for a five night musical extravaganza. With over thirty-five acts taking to the stage this week from Wednesday April 9th-13th, the city is set to become a mecca for music-lovers nationwide!

The festival opens tomorrow night with a long-anticipated return to Dublin for British indie-rock foursome Hard-Fi. The band, supported by Dubliners Channel One, will showcase hits from their number one albums Stars of CCTV and Once Upon a Time in the West at the Olympia Theatre. Across town, Dublin’s own David Kitt will play a live set at the Sugar Club, supported by DJ, Donal Dineen.

On Saturday night, all eyes will be on Dublin’s Docklands for the jewel in the festival crown – the BudRising Street Party. George’s Dock has been drained and the jetty extended to construct the biggest stage ever to be seen in the Docklands. The Streets will headline on stage, with support provided by Mixmaster Mike, resident DJ for the Beastie Boys, hip-hop DJ Morgan and one or two very special guests! Irish music-lovers have logged on in their thousands to register for the free event, with only 1000 chosen by lottery to attend.

A further thirty homegrown and international acts will play Dublin’s favourite music venues, including The Button Factory, The Village, Whelan’s, SPY and the Sugar Club. Headliners include The Ting Tings, Hadouken, The Raveonettes, Maps, Simian Mobile Disco, Super Extra Bonus Party, Future of the Left, Fight Like Apes and Red Snapper.
