BudRising and The Last Splash have announced a change to the line-up of their regional tour, set to take place in February 2008.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Annie Mac will no longer headline BudRising’s final gig in Galway. Her spot on the tour has been filled by a DJ set from Mercury Prize winners The Klaxons who will showcase their unique blend of indie rock and dance punk in a disco set at Cuba in Galway on 16th February. The band will be supported by one-to-watch house DJs The Japanese Popstars and Cuba’s own Jonathan Byrne (Byrno).

Tickets on the door at Cuba and in advance from Bar 903, priced at €7.

The Klaxons will DJ on the final night of a tour which will see no less than three Meteor Award nominees take to the stage in a series of early rock gigs and late-night DJ sets at the hottest music venues in Galway and Limerick.

FEBRUARY 8TH: JAPE AND FIGHT LIKE APES AT THE WARWICK, GALWAY
The tour kicks off in Galway with an electro punk-rock set from two-time Meteor nominee Fight Like Apes. Shortlisted for Best Irish Band and Best Irish Live Performance for an electrifying gig at Whelan’s in 2007, the band are currently celebrating the release of their second EP.

Also headlining at The Warwick, Jape is the solo project of Redneck Manifesto bassist, Richie Egan. With a unique sound fusing modern pop music with electronics, drones and acoustic instruments, Egan will present hits from his albums Cosmosphere and The Monkeys In The Zoo Have More Fun Than Me.

Tickets are available from local outlets, priced at €18.50 plus booking fee.

FEBRUARY 15TH: DJ YODA PLAYS THE TRINITY ROOMS, LIMERICK
BudRising with The Last Splash arrives in Limerick on Friday 15th February and kicks off with a truly original set from Londoner, DJ Yoda. Tipped by Q Magazine as one of the ‘Top Ten DJs to See Before You Die’, Yoda has single-handedly injected humour into UK hip-hop scene with a set that can take the audience from TV themes to country and 80’s pop. Yoda will be supported by Mac 3 and Limerick’s own A2DF.

Tickets available from The Trinity Rooms priced at €10 plus booking fee.

FEBRUARY 16TH: DELORENTOS AND FUTURE KINGS OF SPAIN PLAY DOLAN’S WAREHOUSE, LIMERICK
Fresh from the previous night’s Meteor Awards, BudRising with the Last Splash Presents ‘the full Irish’ of musical line-ups for the penultimate night of the tour in Limerick. Winner of ‘Best New Band’ at last year’s Meteors, Future Kings of Spain took the nation by storm in 2007, with the release of their second album Nervousystem. Nominated in three categories this year, including Best Live Performance and Best Irish Band, the Future Kings will take to the stage at Dolan’s alongside fellow nominees Delorentos. Following the release of their hotly-anticipated debut album, In Love With Detail, Dublin-based four-piece Delorentos have cemented their already formidable reputation on the live music circuit with two nominations at this year’s Meteors – Best Irish Band and Best Irish Album.

Tickets available from Dolan’s and online at www.ticketmaster.ie, priced at €15 plus booking fee.
