‘Blatant Fly’ is a three-piece alternative indie rock band and have been together since mid 2005. The members are Laurence McDade (bass and vocals), Alec Lindsay (guitar and backing vocals) and Adam Kerlin (drums). We are based in the city of Londonderry but have recently began to play all around Northern Ireland, playing in Enniskillen, Belfast and Downpatrick recently. With consistent, catchy song-writing and energetic live performances we hope to establish ourselves on the music scene around Ireland. Our main musical influences are very wide and varying from Radiohead, Biffy Clyro and At the Drive In to Pearl Jam, The Smashing Pumpkins and Nirvana to David Bowie and Talking Heads.
