Unite Tribe

Unite Tribe are a seven piece band from North Co. Dublin. Formally known as the "Rastafenians" they have been together since September 2004.
the wide ranging influences of the band members, everything from DJ Shadow to Bob Dylan and Pink Floyd to Bob Marley, results in original material which the tribe like to call “new wave reggae.
The Tribe then began to tour the country playing venues such as The Spirit Store in Dundalk, Whelans, Crawdaddy, the Temple Bar Music Centre in Dublin and The Trinity Rooms in Limerick. The overwhelming positive response from these gigs, and not just from reggae lovers, the tribe’s music crosses the boundary into many other styles, encouraged the band to record their debut album, Enlocari.
To this end they enlisted the services of top Irish engineer Andy Knightly and producer Wayne Sheehy, who has worked with the likes of Damian Dempsey, The hothouse Flowers and Ronny Wood. The album was completed in summer ’06 and is to released in March ‘07, distribution nation-wide by All Media.
More recent gigs have seen The Tribe play support to the legendary Jamaican duo Isreal Vibration and New Zealand’s number one band The Blackseeds. They have also done numerous live radio performances on the likes of 98fm and Lmfm.
In Feb '07 they will travel to Lativa, Lituania, Estonia for the first leg of their european tour.
