Falter Ego are a four piece band from Clondalkin who play heavy rock/metal music depending on your point of view. The band consists of Ian on lead vocals and guitar, Gary on guitar, James on bass and Peter on drums and backing vocals. Falter Ego formed nearly three years ago and have been gigging around Dublin for over a year and a half now. The bands influences are diverse and many. They include some of the following: Biffy Clyro, Jimmy Eat World, Rage Against the Machine, Funeral for a Friend, System of a Down, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Metallica, Nirvana, Incubus, Audioslave, Idelwild, The Melvins, Smashing Pumpkins, Tool, Arch Enemy, Perfect Circle, Queens of the Stone Age, Temple of the Dog and Mastodon. In 2005 Falter Ego recorded a three track demo in 147 Studios. The tracks chosen were Attention Me, Brain Maze and Nutjob. Falter Ego have written many more songs since this demo, a lot of which are heavier. They feel that these new songs better represent where they are as a band now and will soon go into the studio to record a new demo.
