Death by Voltage writes old school rock n' roll in the grand tradition of Thin Lizzy, Rory Gallagher, AC/DC, and Motorhead. They have a distinctive sound that has been lacking in the cork rock scene for some years. The Death by Voltage story began in 2002, when 5 friends decided that there was not enough good live rock music in Cork for them so they decide to make there own. The first incarnation of Death by Voltage included Ronan Duggan, Chris O’Brien, Brian Sheehan, Karol Lapot and Paul Burke. Due to itchy feet they took a break to go and see the world and two got lost along the way but not before recording a 6 song demo in august 2004 called “Weapons�. Chris O’Brien was replaced by Peter Crudge and due to the insistence of Paul Burke his position of rhythm guitar was not filled. The new line up was finally finished. They are Ronan Duggan (vocals), Brian Sheehan (lead guitar/vocals), Karol lapot (base) and Peter Crudge (drums).
