Long ago, the French adopted the term "betes noires" (pronounced--roughly--"bet nu-arr") to refer to their pet hates or peeves. The B?tes Noires are also a new 3-piece band based in Belfast. Comprising of Paul McIver (Vocals, Bass, Keyboards) , Simon Kelly (Vocals, Guitar, Keyboards) and Ryan Simpson (Drums and Percussion), the band formed in June 2003 and immediately locked themselves away in a Victorian attic, working diligently. Combing influences from a variety of rock genres, an impassioned zeal for live music, and a desire to do something a little more interesting, their main concern is getting the sounds out of their heads and into your ears.
