Trip Hazard is a Dublin based 4 piece outfit operating in the pop/rock genre. The line up of Dave (Vox/guitars), Siobhan (Vox/Flute/Percussion), Liam (Bass), and Eugene (Drums/Percussion) bring many influences to the sound, with the common thread of strong vocal harmonies and driving rhythms. Formed in early 2002, they have been steadily building up a fan base with regular gigs in such venues as the Sugar Club, the Isaac Butt, Temple Bar Music Centre, and JJ Smyths. They recently released their debut e.p. "I Keep Falling" (see review on this site), which received 'Pick of the Fortnight' in HotPress magazine (May '03). The accompanying review described the band as "...Cardigans one minute to JJ72....., and then onto the Moody Blues...", and "....solid havy chord driven pop, arranged so that it keeps your attention, with smart vocals and extra voices used to keep the adrenalin coursing through the veins". Phantom FM described it as "one of the best Irish debut CDs I have heard in some time..." (ICON show), and it has also been played on FM104 and RedFM (Cork).
