Dublin based fresno formed in late 2001 with the aim of writing diverse but accessible rock music. Within two months their demo EP, produced by Paul Thomas, was released to the music industry to critical acclaim. Their uplifting sound and captivating live performances quickly made an impact on the music scene, with fresno being named one of the most promising Irish acts in the Hotpress Annual Readers poll 2002 alongside Relish and Gemma Hayes. The same month, the title track of their EP, "Today", was voted one of the best songs of the year by the musical press. The band are played regularly on radio and have also enjoyed airtime on national radio stations. |
