About 2 years ago I had some songs that I was pretty keen to record. I was touring with Bluemoose at the time and Marc"Harvey" Hillis(Laminate,Ex-Bluemoose) agreed to help me demo the songs in a rehersal room in Wexford - the Glamour. Just 2 days later Drums & Bass demos were roughly done. Enter former bandmate and friend Stuart Gray (Electric Lemon)! I went to Stuarts place - Jealoustown Studios,Dunshaughlin - and we spent some time producing the songs and getting most of the guitar ideas down.Time ticked by and not much happened. I joined j-90 and wrangled Evan Kelly (j-90) into finishing the demo album Drum & Bass wise.Cue Shane O'Dwyer(j-90)! In a house in Galway last November Shane and myself put the finishing touches on the demos thanks to his six-string-skills! Done....What Next! Well it was Do or Die at that stage.Alot of work had been done and 100 times more to do.but thankfully I ran with the idea.......Ran away to the other side of the bloody world, made up my mind somewhere in the Pacific Islands that I really wanted to do this and traded-in my flip-flops for those running shoes and headed straight back to Stuart and cried for help!He Obliged! In my absence both Harvey and Evan got heavily involved in their own projects!Disaster? Yes...but an excellent solution arose! On catching up with the Bluemoose Lads (in kerry of all places) I spied Mr.Shane Gough for the first time and I WAS SOLD! I couldnt believe my luck when he agreed to drum for me. Saved! We laid down the tracks during the summer in between all the guys hectic schedules. Then Stuart"Producer" Gray suggested some extra instrumentation. So Marc Cahill (Liam Lawton) was drafted in for string arrangements and keyboards.Add some Cello by Aoife Miskelly, put in some lovely Backing Vocals from the superb voice of Una Healy Add some additional drumming by the amazing Robbie Casserly and some Percussion by William Unger and here we are now!
