SUDDYN BIO Chart topping rock band SUDDYN began their assault on the Irish music scene just over a year ago. In this short time, SUDDYN's epic rock anthems with a compelling combination of edgy guitar driven rock, broody melodic piano arrangements and soulful lyrics have made quite an impact. The SUDDYN journey began with the release of their debut single "Drowning Souls". "Drowning Souls" was a top ten hit for 2 consecutive weeks peaking at No.8 making SUDDYN one of the Best Selling Unsigned Acts in Ireland! The popularity of "Drowning Souls" was cemented when it became a worldwide selling ring tone! A spot in NME’s Top 20 Breaking Bands 2006 swiftly followed this success. SUDDYN also scored a prestigious place on Record of the Day’s featured artists. Media coverage of the bands endeavors on the Irish shores has been extensive and includes a glowing review from HotPress, NME, InDublin and Drop-D Magazine, and live performances on POP 4, Channel 6, Spin 103.8 Fm and 98 Fm but to name a few. The bands music has received airtime from the majority of national & regional Irish radio stations in Ireland. The highly acclaimed radio station Phantom Fm added SUDDYN’s music to their A-list. Their music has also being play listed as far away as Germany, Sweden, France and Slovakia! SUDDYN have played over 70 shows since Feb 06 in the company of great bands such as Boy Kill Boy, Shiny Toy Guns, The Films, Larrikin Love, Director and The Blizzards to name just a few. This year has been really heating up on the front for SUDDYN with invitations to perform at such prestigious events as Phantasm, Murphy's Live and MCD presentations. SUDDYN have also been busy blazing a trail through this year’s music festivals! This band epitomizes what can be accomplished with a bit of blood sweat and tears on the battlefield and have won over an army of fans and the hearts of the critics in the process. "Epic" Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers) "Think Killers meet Foos…..worthy of the hype" NME "Sugar-sweet piano-driven melodies, played with energy and sung with panache" Hotpress "Melodic, soaring anthems with a heavy edge" Record of the Day "One of the best bands rising from the rock scene at the moment" InDublin Magazine "Passionate powerful performances….such fiery, fervent shows would be better suited to stadiums and festivals" University Observer "These aren't songs, they're anthems" Drop-D Magazine "The next big thing" U Magazine www.myspace.com/suddyn www.nme.com/newmusic/suddyn www.suddyn.com www.sonicbids.com/suddyn CONTACT: LINDA O' CONNOR OPALSTAR MUSIC MANAGEMENT (Tel) 0035386 8647581 (E) Linda@suddyn.com
